The Longhorns and Sooners will don new uniforms on Saturday in honor of one of the most storied rivalries in college football. Â When the two teams take the field at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday they will do so with a little more shine. Â The new jerseys pay tribute to the infamous “Golden Hat,” which is awarded to the game’s winning team. Â Oklahoma has worn the Golden Hat for the last 3 years straight, including a 61-23 drubbing of the Longhorns last year, but Texas holds the all-time series lead at 59-43-5.
