Texas QB David Ash, RB Johnathan Gray, LB Steve Edmond, LB Jordan Hicks, and DT Chris Whaley all suffered season ending injuries.

 

 

 

Last meeting saw Texas QB Chris Simms throw four interceptions

 

 

 

DE Alex Okafor set the Alamo Bowl sack record last year with 4 ½. Texas had 10 in the game.

 

 

 

This will be the last game in the career of Mack Brown at Texas. Brown was the 2008 Bobby Dodd National Coach of the Year, 2009 Big 12 Coach of the Year, and 2005 Paul W. “Bear” Bryant National Coach of the Year.

 

 

 

Texas has played in 15 bowls under Brown, with a 10-4 record, including 9-2 in the last 11.

 

 

 

The Longhorns are averaging 423.1 yards of total offense, including 197.6 on the ground

 

 

 

Texas has given up just 14 sacks this season.

 

 

 

Oregon is 47th in total defense (381.3 ypg) and 66th in rushing defense (164.3 ypg).
