The Texas Men’s Basketball season kicks off in a little over two months with an array of non-conference matchups that begin with Ohio State on November 4 in Las Vegas. Highlighting the non-conference schedule is Texas hosting defending National Champion UCONN on December 8.
Rodney Terry’s team learned their Southeastern Conference schedule on Tuesday, when the league released schedules for all of its sixteen teams.
Texas will host the following opponents: Auburn (Jan. 7 or 8), Tennessee (Jan. 11), Missouri (Jan. 21 or 22), Texas A&M (Jan. 25), Arkansas (Feb. 4 or 5), Alabama (Feb. 11 or 12), Kentucky (Feb. 15), Georgia (March 1) and Oklahoma (March 8).
As far as SEC road games go, the Longhorns make trips to face Texas A&M (Jan. 4), Oklahoma (Jan. 14 or 15), Florida (Jan. 18), Ole Miss (Jan. 28 or 29), LSU (Feb. 1), Vanderbilt (Feb. 8), South Carolina (Feb. 22), Arkansas (Feb. 25 or 26) and Mississippi State (March 4 or 5).
SEC scheduling dictates that each team will play the other 15 teams in the conference at least one time. Teams will play three SEC teams twice, with two of these teams being permanent opponents. For Texas, these two teams will be Texas A&M and Oklahoma. They will also face the Arkansas Razorbacks twice this season.
