The Longhorns suffered a huge loss against the Horned Frogs on Thanksgiving night but the injury fallout from the game is equally as resounding.  Running back Jeremy Hills suffered a lower leg injury after scoring the team’s only touchdown and linebacker Demarco Cobbs was carted off the field with a knee injury in the second quarter.   Hills, a senior, played his final game in a Texas uniform and Cobbs has racked up another injury in what unfortunately is becoming commonplace for the junior weakside linebacker.  Both players have been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Looking forward to the Kansas State game, it was announced on Sunday that quarterback David Ash, defensive end Alex Okafor and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin are all questionable for for Saturday’s game in Manhattan, also due to injuries sustained in the TCU game.

Texas (8-3) looks to end a 4 game losing streak to Bill Snyder’s Kansas State Wildcats (10-1) in Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday night.  A win for Texas would most likely earn the Longhorns a trip to the Cotton Bowl, while a loss would likely mean a trip to the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.
