Texas has secured a big commitment in Max Wright, a four-star offensive tackle in the Class of 2026 from Melissa High School in the DFW Metroplex. The 6-foot-8, 310-pound prospect becomes the first commit of the new year for the Longhorns and the third overall pledge in the 2026 cycle. Wright, who attended Texas’ Junior Day on January 25th, is ranked as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 63 player in Texas, according to 247Sports.
With his elite physical traits, Wright possesses the size, power, and athleticism that make him an ideal fit for Texas’ offensive line under Kyle Flood. He thrives in the run game, using his strength, hip bend, and lateral quickness to dominate at the point of attack and reach the second level with ease. His length and strong punch allow him to control defenders, and his overall skill set gives him a huge upside at the next level. As Texas continues to build its future in the trenches, Wright’s commitment reinforces the Longhorns’ dedication to developing a dominant offensive line.
