Texas junior running back Jaydon Blue has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft following a strong finish to the Longhorns’ College Football Playoff run. Blue, a versatile and dynamic playmaker, was a crucial part of Texas’ offensive success down the stretch. In 2024, he tallied 730 rushing yards and eight touchdowns while adding 368 receiving yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his ability to contribute in both the running and passing games.

Blue’s best performance came in the CFP first round game against Clemson, where he delivered a season-high 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns, helping propel Texas to the semifinals against Ohio State. Over his three-year career in Austin, Blue played in 38 games and made five starts, amassing 1,161 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, along with 503 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

A former 4-star recruit out of Klein Cain High School in the Houston area, Blue has been known for his elite speed, with projections suggesting he could run a 40-yard dash in the 4.3s at the NFL Combine. Standing at 6-foot and weighing 190 pounds, Blue combines home-run speed with the ability to run between the tackles, displaying burst, quickness, and a knack for creating big plays. His skills as a receiving threat out of the backfield add to his value as a modern, versatile NFL running back.

With his mix of athleticism, versatility, and playmaking ability, Jaydon Blue is expected to be a highly attractive prospect for teams looking for a dynamic offensive weapon in the 2025 NFL Draft.
