When Bryan Harsin left a 10 year career at Boise State to become the co-offensive coordinator at the University of Texas good things were sure to come. Right? Well, yes, but the quarterback situation upon his arrival turned out to be in “project development” phase. Garrett Gilbert would transfer after starting two games last season and the dualistic approach to a Texas offense that is “McAsh” was inevitable. It is difficult to say that the ship has been fully righted just yet, but it looks like Texas has successfully navigated from sailing the seas of cheese (Primus fans give a thumbs up) to coasting in calm waters with a clear view of land ahead.
Coach Harsin recently led a quarterbacks meeting that was captured by the Longhorn Network (video below).  Does he answer who will start at QB next season? Nah. One thing is for sure though…. the guy knows football down to centimeters.
