Starting quarterback Arch Manning underwent what UT officials are calling “minor” foot surgery earlier this week, to help with a previous injury sustained. The details as to when the specific foot injury occurred are not known, as Manning missed no time on the field this season as a result. Texas also said that Manning is expected to be limited during off-season workouts, but should be back and ready for football this spring.
Manning finished the 2025 season with 3,163 yards passing on 248 completions and 26 touchdowns. He added 399 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns as well.
Expect Manning to be a name to watch as the preseason Heisman discussion ramps up.
Arch Manning was not the only player that underwent surgery following conclusion of the season. Per the university, Xavier Filsaime (shoulder), Trevor Goosby (shoulder), Emmett Mosley V (ankle), Ty’Anthony Smith (shoulder), Ryan Wingo (wrist) all had offseason surgery and all are expected to be healthy before the Longhorns open the season against Texas State on September 5.
