Despite enjoying a bye week following a 34-30 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, the Texas Longhorns (5-1, 2-1) moved up one spot in the newly released AP-Top 25 Poll. The Longhorns, who had previously been ranked at No. 9 in the Poll, slid up one spot to No. 8. The move can be attributed to then-ranked No. 8 Oregon falling in a close game to then-No. 6 Washington. The other team in the Top-10 that lost was No. 10 USC, who lost to No. 21 Notre Dame.

The Longhorns will next face the Houston Cougars in a conference road game at TDECU Stadium on Saturday, October 21st at 3:00 PM.
