Figured we could keep one of these up a week with the rumors and whatnot we hear until its over, whenever that maybe.

First one brought to us by scotas497: Anyone else heard the rumor about Mack demanding more money for a contract buyout?

** I have not heard anything today other than his buyout/settlement would be very cost effective for the university. $3 million for UT Mens Athletics is nothing.

Kind of an on going rumor that certain message board posters and journalists are being contacted/targeted by lower level football/AD staff and told to stop reporting negative things:

** Without getting into details, I can tell you 100% this is true. Also pretty well known one of Bellmonts low end people, Nick Voinis, is doing this on a lot of UT boards.

Discuss and talk folks. Do NOT let Bellmont or its cronies silence your opinion.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about Mack's "goons" telling fans and journalists to pipe down. He needs to spend more time coaching (which is sorely needed) instead of trying to play "trash talk police."

It's absurd and it's embarrassing. Get to coaching these kids.

The message board goones are out in full forcefor sure. Mack is trying to get more money before announcing retirement.

Those of you who are wrestling fans will know this reference. The Texas Program right now is 100% like WCW its last two years in business. Loaded with alot of dead weight yet still stocked with talent that would go on to other promotions and turn into superstars.

Tweeted the question about more money to Michael McCann of McCann Sports Law who brought up an interesting point:

If there was a non disclosure agreement in the works he could demand more money for it. Given the stuff with Bev Kearney and Major, that might be his game.

I heard UT would buy out for 10 mil and Mack wants 20 mil. Just a rumor.

But he is only owed like 3 million right? There is no way in hell the BOR is going to pay him triple.

I believe Mack is owed roughly 2 million. The rumor was posted on another site and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Mack is going greedy on this. Can you blame him? He knows his hour is at hand and he has a large house and a lavish lifestyle. A golden office in Bellmont is nice but it pays nominal.

He's made enough money off of UT. Negotiate a fair buyout, give him his stapler and office in the basement and hire SABAN. I'm tired of Mack's spin.

He can send cronies.. He can do what he needs to do... The BOR strictly needs to assess him on his job at hand.. And right now, honestly... Anything more than what he is owed is foolish money. The fact that UT has class and has not embarrassed him mid season, should be more than enough. For him to be greedy shows to me as an alum, that he is not about the university, as he claims so deeply to be. We are all asked to give back as we succeed in life, as we should... As much as the university has given to him, i ask of you mr mack brown, isnt it time you give back?

Well, there is just one problem - mack brown can't coach. That's why he's been getting his rear end handed to him by Bob Stoops over the years.
