The NFL Coach

He has been one of my favorites from day 1. Maybe even over his brother. He's not as likely to blow a gasket as Jim. Hell of a coach. I really like his personality.

While John Harbaugh doesn't have the benefit of known success at the college level like his brother, he's an elite coach at the NFL level with a history of being able to relate to players and a reasonable amount of college experience. Plus, he can always bounce things off of his brother.
This would be an amazing hire if true.
Agree, not only can he ask his brother, but his father Jack. That's why I not worried about John not having any college HC experience. His father was a college HC and assistant for 40 years. The Harbaugh's grew up in college football.

Jack helped Jim coach at San Diego and Stanford. If we hire John, Jack probably will be an unofficial Texas coach.

John would be a grand slam hire. A first class guy and a great football mind who knows how to motivate young men to win championships. He is the kind of guy and profile that parents of young athletes would respect and want their kids to play for, especially if they have NFL potential. It is hard to sustain a championship level team in the NFL with a salary cap and he might welcome the challenge of becoming a true legend at UT along with a major lifestyle upgrade from Baltimore to Austin and leaving millionaire prima donnas behind. He's already making $7 million a year so money will not be the way to snag him if it is possible.

At UT, he would terrify every other coach and fan base in the Big 12 and shut down aggy recruiting and fantasies for as long as he remained at UT. He is the best hire that Patterson could make.

I was rooting for the Bengals yesterday so the Ravens wouldn't make the playoffs. If he was a serious candidate, it would have been nervewracking waiting if the Ravens made a deep playoff run.

Talks with John Harbaugh have gone to the next level.
More on this will be coming later.

Patterson is not going to be caught with his pants down.
I approve of this message.

Let's see....

A young, energetic, superbowl winning coach from great football pedigree.

NFL vs College is so overrated. I have a hard time believing Harbaugh would not be successful at Texas with the resources.

I like this alot, it also may put some pressure on Saban to crap or get off the pot.

Heard some rumblings. Saban to decide by Friday. Not from my main guy but a good solid source
