Coming off a win against TCU, Texas traveled to Manhattan to face the last place team in the Big 12, Kansas State. Needing a win to keep what slim hopes they have of a NCAA tournament bid alive, the Longhorns received a huge offensive performance from Courtney Ramey en route to a 70-59 win over the Wildcats.

The Wildcats struggled mightily offensive, including a stretch in the first half when they went without a field goal for the final 7:40 of the f half. The Longhorns built a steady 42-23 lead heading into halftime and never looked back.

Ramey lead all scorers with 26 points and also grabbed 6 rebounds. Andrew Jones and Matt Coleman both added 12 points each, with Coleman dishing out 3 assists in his first game back following a one game absence due to a heel injury. Will Baker had a relatively quiet game (5 points and 1 rebound) following his career game against TCU.

The Wildcats finished the game shooting 34.5% from the field and 21.4% from deep. Xavier Sneed led the team with 15 points and Makol Mawien recorded his second double-double of the season (14 points and 10 rebounds).

The win moves the Longhorns to 16-11 overall and 6-8 in Big 12 play. A 3-1 finish to the regular season would likely keep Texas on the NCAA tournament bubble heading into the conference tournament. The Longhorns will return to action on Monday when they welcome West Virginia to Austin. The Longhorns will be looking for payback following an embarrassing 97-59 loss in Morgantown earlier this season.
