SignUp Now!Obviously you don't remember the 2005 National Championship team?I'm not sure the Horns could get good enough recruits that could overcome the absence of coaching.
Mack hadn't "retired in place" yet.Obviously you don't remember the 2005 National Championship team?
That team was very well coached on both sides of the ball. Including special teams.Obviously you don't remember the 2005 National Championship team?
I don't care to argue pro or con regarding previous coaching staffs. All I know is the current one ain't getting it done. Not even close.32 players on that team played in the NFL. The entire O Line, the entire Secondary, three RB's, and two QB's. I made the comment in jest but that team was loaded. Vince even made Greg Davis look good.
Does the coaching staff get any credit for developing that talent? Does Greg Davis get any credit for developing Vince and Colt? Vince was pretty raw for his first two seasons. Is our current staff developing all the great recruits we are bringing in?32 players on that team played in the NFL. The entire O Line, the entire Secondary, three RB's, and two QB's. In regards to Vince and his developement there is an interview from Mack where he said the best thing they did that made the biggest change was deciding to stop coaching Vince and just let him play. I am not sure you can give Greg Davis credit for developing Vince, but I do think you can give Vince credit for Greg Davis being the OC of a National Championship team.Does the coaching staff get any credit for developing that talent?
