It's been good Charlie...

32 players on that team played in the NFL. The entire O Line, the entire Secondary, three RB's, and two QB's. I made the comment in jest but that team was loaded. Vince even made Greg Davis look good.

I don't care to argue pro or con regarding previous coaching staffs. All I know is the current one ain't getting it done. Not even close.

Does the coaching staff get any credit for developing that talent?  Does Greg Davis get any credit for developing Vince and Colt?  Vince was pretty raw for his first two seasons.  Is our current staff developing all the great recruits we are bringing in?

In regards to Vince and his developement there is an interview from Mack where he said the best thing they did that made the biggest change was deciding to stop coaching Vince and just let him play. I am not sure you can give Greg Davis credit for developing Vince, but I do think you can give Vince credit for Greg Davis being the OC of a National Championship team.

"Is our current staff developing all the great recruits we are bringing in? " it's tough to determine at this point. Vince and Colt both had the luxury of a red shirt. Vince didn't set the world on fire his first year to play in the rotating QB system. It was essentially his JR (RS Soph)and Sr ( RS Jr) years that he was a stud. Half way through Colts second year to start SI dubbed him on of the top ten most dissapointing players in the country and Texas started 0-2 in conference for the first time since 1956. Two of the greatest college QB's ever were not put in the position the current players are dealing with. I'm sick about our current teams lack of success but I think the hype and our selective memory is putting unfair expectations on this group of very talented but extremely young team and the coaches overseeing their development.

Super K is aight.

Doe sit matter if they did this or not?  They did it a season ago after the TCU game.  It means noting.

I am not sure how I feel about Mike Perrins approach as it seems very heavy handed .  His appearance twice at the Coaches news conference I feel was more about controlling the reporters from asking any questions he does not wish to be asked and to see which reporters might be asking those questions.  Just my thoughts and opinion on this matter.
