Texas leads nation with five selections on Walter Camp Preseason All-America teams, a group headlined by quarterback Arch Manning and edge rusher Colin Simmons.
Manning, Simmons, linebacker Rasheem Biles and offensive tackle Trevor Goosby were named to the First Team, while wide receiver Cam Coleman earned Second Team honors. Texas’ five selections topped all programs, ahead of Indiana and Oregon (four each).
Manning enters 2026 coming off a breakout first season as the full-time starter, leading the Longhorns to a 10–3 finish and a Citrus Bowl win over Michigan, where he was named MVP. The junior threw for more than 3,100 yards with 26 touchdowns and added 10 rushing scores, emerging as one of the SEC’s most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks.
Simmons, also a First Team pick for the second straight year, anchors a defense after leading the SEC with 12 sacks in 2025. Goosby, a First-Team All-SEC tackle last season, returns as the cornerstone of an offensive line that powered one of the league’s most efficient attacks.
Biles and Coleman headline a pair of high-impact transfers. Biles arrives from Pitt after a 100-tackle season, while Coleman, a former Auburn standout, gives Manning another proven target on the outside.
Texas opens the 2026 season Sept. 5 against Texas State in Austin.
