I know you think I am nuts, but I think there is a real chance to defeat the evil Sooners, Saturday in Dallas.

Here's my case.

1) Sooners Suck!We concentrate of Texas so much, sometimes it is not so obvious how badly the Sooners have played. They have played 4 of 5 games at home. While they have beaten ND at South Bend they have also looked really bad in wins over WVU and TCU. They scored 17 and 20 points in those games. 17 points, at home against a WV team that gave up 70 to Baylor last night?

2) OU has little to no passing game. I believe Texas can stack the line of scrimmage because Bell is no threat to throw the ball. He's also a FB playing QB so he won't use quickness to fake out the Texas DLine. They should know exactly where he is. Bell only has 800 yards passing in 5 games.

3) This might surprise you? Did you know Texas is scoring more points than OU per game? Thought not..

4) IntangiblesEveryone expects OU to win. The Sooners are in fact favored by 14 in early betting lines. The Longhorns are playing with their backs against the wall and Mack still thinks he may save his job by beating OU. I expect this Longhorn team to play with their hair on fire.

5) This team is due a good game. They have seen even their own fans question their manhood? We just might see the best of the best this team is capable of, against the hated Sooners.

I am not saying they are going to win, but I would not be surprised. What a way to go out for Mack?

This about says it all..and..Hook'Em!

You did not address that we cannot stop their rush attack. It's probably the biggest concern. Bell will not have to throw the ball if Millard, Clay and gang run the ball down our throats which they will.

Actually I did by stating we only have to stop the rush. OU has a shaky passing game at best and Bell Dozier is not very elusive. Again, I am not saying UT will win. I am saying they have a real chance.

I agree, there passing game is pedestrian... I do believe their defense is for real. We will need to protect the ball, and not give up big plays. This wont be a blowout of epic proportions... As previously in the last two years.

The problem i have is the lack of offensive continuity. The swapping of players, abandoning a successful run game... Case has played well, but hes not colt. Everyone needs to step up, and mack and major need to nurture that, not hold em back. Defense has looked much better... Yes we have a chance

Yes of course we only have to stop the rush but there is no evidence showing that we actually can.....OU doesn't have to pass because we don't have to means to make them one-dimensional.

55-17 63-21 Mack Brown coached teams in the cotton Bowl. I could careless if OU was winless they would be us by 50.

Different year and those seasons they had a real QB, not a FB playing the QB position.

All we had to do was stop the run against BYU, and look where that got us.

Look, I am as die hard a UT fan/alum as the rest of you. But, sometimes I have to take off my burnt orange glasses, and ask myself what an unbiased football fan would say.

My guess? Ou wins 42-16.

OK bitches..eat that crow..and bow to your new Longhorn Daddy Beevo da f##king Mav

Dear goodness we smacked some ass today. I don't know who that team was out there on the Cotton Bowl field today but THAT was a football team. The defense punished, the running game plowed and we meant business.

Anyone want Mack back next year?

Nom nom nom... Great f##king win and I'm glad you were right... Though my thoughts on what would happen were justified, I am glad I was wrong. Good call... HOOK EM ALWAYS!!!

100% correct and great game! My opinions have not changed. You can't reverse 4 years of bad coaching and decisions with ONE win. Great win, buy it was just one. Blake Bell is a terrible QB and that helped. That was the first great game plan I've seen in about 4 years. HOOK EM! Mack still needs to step down.

OK..we know I threw shit against the wall and finally some stuck. It was a great win, and in all sincerity I did not think we would win the game but I did spend all morning telling my buddy that Texas would cover. He didn't completely believe me, but he saved a $110 by not betting.
