Couple of good stories I thought I'd share

If you've never seen 6-man football, check out the video.

A RB who is 6'5, 340?

He's athletic, difficult to tackle, blocks well and is a leader of his team's offense.

Harmony Science Academy (Bryan, Texas) senior Nathan Williams is a 6-foot-5, 340-pound running back and he's making his mark in Texas 6-man football.

Williams transferred from Bryan High School last year when he checked in at 6-3, 310 pounds and only played on the line.

Harmony head coach Cody Hunt says that he uses Williams at multiple positions on offense and defense.

"Frankly, the boy is an athlete and a leader and an excellent student," Hunt told MaxPreps. "I play him at center, nose guard and defensive end."

It's at fullback, however, where Williams has drawn most of the attention. When he carries the ball, the disparity between his size and the size of those in 6-man football attempting to tackle him is almost cartoonish.

"When we play him at fullback and give him the ball, his team likes to call the play 'Nate Train' for obvious reasons," Hunt said.

In Harmony's season opener last week, Williams rushed for 43 yards on six attempts, an average of 7.1 yards per carry. He scored a touchdown and also notched a reception.

Hunt said that Williams has heard from a number of colleges interested in him as a defensive tackle or possibly an offense lineman. According to Hunt, Williams holds no offers, but has received interest from Oregon State, LSU, Utah State and UCLA.

Meet Essex (Tappahannock, Va.) senior Dondre Harris, the nation's tallest defensive lineman.

Harris is a 7-foot, 380-pound defensive lineman for the small, public high school located about 45 miles northwest of Richmond. He spent time on the offensive line a year ago, and according to Essex head coach John Fulks, is a starter at defensive tackle for Essex.

To put Brown's uncanny size in perspective, the tallest player in the 2014 NFL Draft was defensive tackle Daniel McCullers, now of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who now checks in at 6-7, 360 pounds.

That gives Harris a good 5 inches and 20 pounds over Brown. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Harris has a basketball background.

According to Fulks, Harris has yet to receive much attention from colleges coaches. That could change with a strong senior season, since Harris' size is the stuff that defensive coordinator pipe dreams are made of.

MaxPreps professional photographer John Bowers was on hand at last Friday's game against King William, catching Harris in action as he towered over opponents and teammates alike. Check out some more media showing the big guy standing out:
