DBU is losing its touch - Needs to be changed

I feel Our teams performance the last few seasons has not really helped our cause. Also it is possible that teams maybe recruiting negatively against us - i.e uncertainty of how long will the present staff stay on etc

Usually it helps if we actually recruit the player too.
We did. Held a Texas offer. Was one of our top targets after Tony Brown for the CB position. Was at JDs.

One of the reasons I would let Akina go...

Did our past DBs make us DBU? Akina has had some talent to work w/ in the past.

Maybe he is just fed up w/ Mack tying his hands.

you and Bobby Burton disagree.

Very hot and cold relationship. But we weren't pursuing him since summer.

When coaching change happens, I fully expect him to be one of the kids the new coach will look at

I heard he was a fallback if we didn't get one of the top 2-3 studs. Also, one of TOS said today he wasn't fast enough (not my words) to play DB or WR for what the staff wanted here.

Don't shoot the messenger.

cough, cough, we didnt get any top 2-3 stud.

new staff and things change for a lot of recruits

Really? We're gonna freak out over losing one DB in the 2014 class? Overreaction
Our highest rated DB commit is only ranked as the 9th-10th best in the state. The ones above turned us down for others or are strong SEC leans.

I won't be at all surprised if this is Akina's last year. Even if the unthinkable happens and Mack returns. I think he's fed up.

I think 24/7 does a really good job with the recruiting content.
No doubt. I think 247 has easily surpassed Rivals as the top recruiting site. Those guys work there asses off.
