Burnt Ends (1-19)

Changing the subject, but several weeks ago there was mention in Burnt Ends that Devonaire Clarington had substantial work to do when it came to his grades...and eventual admission to UT. There doesn't seem to be any other site reporting any concerns about Clarington....at all.

Has HornSports heard anything recently about him that would put our minds at ease concerning his grades?

Just from looking at highlight films, my personal opinion is that Soso and Warren are better than Brossette with Soso being the best out of all three (as a RB not just ATH). I'm curious to see how the timing of the process works out. Ex: what if Brossette (or any of the 3) declares he commits to UT before NSD and that scares Warren and Soso (or the other 2) off or something along those lines happens. Overall, hindsight is 20-20 and it is nearly impossible to predict which of the three will become the best RB and even if so the formalities/technicalities of recruiting make it difficult/interesting to say the least...
Man, it's really tough to compare them. They each have a style and skill set that are unique. You could build an offense around each of them.

1. Brossette reminds me of Emmitt Smith. That kind of back would work well in Watson's offense.

2. Soso is a home run threat any time he touches the ball. That in itself works in any offense. Bush is a good comparison, but Bush was short. Soso is 6'1.

3. Most defenses will not be used to hitting someone with the size, power and speed of Warren. He's like Ricky W in a way.

I say take all three. Use one this year, redshirt the other two. I'd probably say the most ready for prime time are Brossette or Warren. Soso needs to get more work in fundamentals.

The thing is, if you have one commit, and it scares the others off, Strong does not want those kind of players.  He wants competitors, people who would love to be able to compete against the other guys for a spot on the field.  If one of them gets scared off because of a little competition, I'm sorry, but that is not going to be a successful back at the next level.

I would love to get all three as well. We also have T Houston and K Johnson. I see Houston redshirting if we get any/all of the above three.

What type of RB is Houston?

Good takes by SHA .. . .

I can't answer the last question but keep in mind that K Johnson may well flip to DB.

With reports of Catalon's progress, I see Gray, Foreman Catalon and one of Warren & RB TBD handling the RB reps with a bit of Daje mixed in.
