On league expansion Bowlsby says at the present time there is not "critical mass" for expansion.  Says the Big 12 spends a little time at every league meeting talking about it.

Furthermore on the College Football Playoff and whether or not not having a conference championship game puts the Big 12 at a disadvantage.

"I don't believe we are at a disadvantage.  One year doesn't make a trend.  We were really close to having two teams in last year."

Bowlsby does mention that he will continue to monitor how things shakeout in future playoffs.

Bowslby was asked if there was concern about the Conference not winning a national championship in a decade.

His response (paraphrased) was yes, it is concerning.  Cites the need to win big games, develop players more among things to work on.

Patterson applauds QB Trevon Boykin's leadership development.

Says he turned down offers to work out with NFL guys this summer and instead chose to stay with his offense & his teammates.

Patterson: This summer has been a very business-like process for TCU.

He also mentioned his LB corps.  Says all the LB's average a 4.5(and change) 40 YD.

Patterson discusses the offense and explains that one of the secrets to it is they try to out-execute you.  

When asked about the offense's progression from last year to this year Patterson said he really can't say.  It will show on gamedays.
