The Kansas head coach always gets a question about the program and the challenges ahead/overcoming the losing factor.

Beaty was asked something similar this morning and basically pointed out TCU and Baylor as programs that were once where Kansas was but have turned it around.

Good paradigm by Beaty.

Easier said than done, however.

Beaty praises Art Briles as a mentor and someone he looks up to.  Says he watched him win a bunch of state championships right here (references old Cowboy Stadium).

Says he tries to get as many coaches sons as he can as players because they "just get it."

Beaty comes across as an honest to goodness football coach. He's that mix of hard-working, folksy & smart. If KU lets him weather the storm/losses, kids will play for this guy.

Beaty comes across as an honest to goodness football coach. He's that mix of hard-working, folksy & smart. If KU lets him weather the storm/losses, kids will play for this guy.

Stark contrast between him and Charlie Weis.  Beaty has passion and it's clear he is willing to put in the time to develop his players and the program.

Holgorsen says he feels good about where the West Virginia defense is at - especially given the significant inconsistencies in the defensive coordinator position.

KSU has 7 QB's on the roster and 4 will compete for the position.  They are all on equal footing at this point, according to Bill Snyder.
