It could be described as "over the top". And I don't deny it was emotional. But I must point out your argument that OU and Tennessee were just as bad really doesn't apply and basically are strawmen. And is exactly the defense that the Baylor apologists are putting up today.
Besides, the discussion is not about them, it is about Baylor. I believe I am right when I say the Big 12's reputation will be, at worst, tarnished by the Baylor scandal. At best, I cannot for the life of me understand how it will help the conferences reputation.
Basically, Baylor has tainted the conference.
Now, on the emotional side, I am probably the last person one would want to argue rape and the consequences of it. I am singularly unsympathetic and, frankly, I don't give a crap if you dislike my emotional reaction to it and Baylor.
I cannot tell you how many children I have treated after being raped and the accompanying horror stories. Children whose anuses, internal organs and vaginas had to be reconstructed. Baby girls who will never experience the joy of child birth. Innocents who have DIED! Three months old to 12. Goddamned animals.
So, yeah, I get emotional about monster mother f##kers who rape women, men and children. They are the instruments, but I equally despise the enablers and I wish UT could get as far away from them as possible. Let the SOB's stew in their own juices.
Sorry, JB, I got so profane. It's not you, it's me. it's a sore spot and I am an opinionated old fool.
