Baylor running thread.

hey.  what would it look like if baylor mooned the entire rest of the nation that didn't like what they did to those young ladies?

actually, i think we know what it would look like if baylor mooned the entire rest of the nation that didn't like what they did to those young ladies.

not sure we can do that exactly, but i do think this marks a point of inflection and we need to move away from them.  they'll be fine and so will we.

bu-leeave me.
The old saying "you are judged by the people you associate with.", could not be more appropo in this circumstance.  The Big 12 will be judged because of Baylor and UT, as a member, will be obliquely judged as well.  Either we get rid of them or we abandon the Big 12.

There is a thug in our midst that has poisoned the pool.

Per Chip:

"I'm told Mack Brown was asked if he'd want Baylor's FB coaching job on an interim basis, and I'm told Mack said if it wasn't a permanent situation, he wouldn't be interested.

I'm told Phil Bennett would have been allowed to stay on as interim coach if he would have dismissed 6 players, and I'm told Bennett said he wouldn't do it. So Baylor's new, interim president Dr. Garland, moved on to Mack and then Jim Grobe.

I'm told the big money guys at Baylor are not being kept in the loop on decisions. After the big-money guys' attempt to keep Art Briles went south, there was some interest on their part in trying to land Dan Mullen."

I wonder if those 6 players will still get kicked off? If Bennett didn't want to kick them off then why is he still part of the team is another question I have? Lol

My thoughts exactly hookem. Also, my other question is what the hell is he protecting the 6 players from?? Like open up the floodgates why don't ya Bennett

Baylor had to name a coach ASAP in order to attempt to retain their 2016 recruiting class. If they don't lose any more players Baylor will look at the quick move as a success as far keeping the team together. They still have a lot of talent. They are still playing games. They tried to have Bennett release the 6 guys so the new coach didn't have to. The new guy has to appear squeaky clean.

I can already hear Kirk Herbstreit et al telling us how great of a job Baylor is doing in reforming the culture this year. Yuck.

Remember, those BMDs already tried to fire Starr and keep Briles despite the P/H report. They won't stop.

Lastly, remember SMU. Amid allegations that their former coach had run a dirty program, they brought in a 'clean' guy, Meyer. Remember ATM. When Sherrill was canned they promoted Slocum. Some say Slocum was worse. Watch the second guy. He is not always what he seems. Grobe? As of a month ago Baylor would have turned its nose up at Grobe.

Grobe feels like when Arkansas hired John L Smith after the Patrino fiasco.  Get an old war horse in here quick to try to save the season.  Would not be suprised if he is 1 and done
According to Norm Hitzges, the connection is Grobe and Grant Teaff. Both are involved the football coaches association.

That is the most ridiculous take that I've seen yet on BU.

I don't know how you can think what happened at BU is worse than what transpired at OU under Switzer's watch. You're old enough to know better.

I find myself open to this discussion. Is there a Power Five conference program as ill to be associated with as Baylor? In all five major conferences, can anyone list the worst of the bunch for each...  FSU in the ACC?

Why should a program be allowed to remain in a conference and reap the revenue, academic associations and any social ties to that conference if they fail the smell test?
