2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

Bleed orange to0 but it is early, none are ranked in top 10 in respective state. Hope not like Dubose started out as 90 or 91 but ended 88

That's commitments from Alabama, Florida and Georgia blue-chippers to start this class.

No Texans yet.

Sark's recruiting ceiling is outer space.

The only problem I see right now is that will we still have the same coaches for the 2025 class when the 2024 season ends. Usually, kids commit to a coach and if that coaches leave they flip.

Who are you worried about leaving?

Texas may land Smith tomorrow without having hired an LB coach.

Quotes from DT Brandon Brown after is commitment to Texas (247).

He plans on being in Austin for the first time next month.

"Texas just seemed to fit me and my family," Brown told Horns247. "I feel like if you’re an elite DT, why wouldn’t you want to play at Texas?"

"[I like] everything. Coaching staff, level of play, going to the SEC, and now competing for a national title."

"Coach Davis is one of the best out there,"
Brown said. "His DTs right now are the best in the country. He is the guy when it comes to sending DTs to the league."

"I’m an athletic, tough, big man that loves to compete,"
Brown said. "I play physical. Watch my film ... you will see."

"I’m excited to sit down with Coach Sark and chop it up,"
he said. "Can’t wait to see the campus and be around the players."

Winning tends to elevate the marketing value of the coaches. Premise: We win this year and do well next year. I would put money down that the coaching staff won't be the same 2023-24 -> 2024-25. The recruits will have a big decision to make.

Difficult to worry about something so far away, but yes that's always a potential scenario.

Lots of assistants live in a revolving door no matter if the team they work for is great or terrible.

I think players are more likely to follow a position coach if he is part of a staff on the move due to the original team falling apart and the head coach getting fired.

Yes, some players may follow a coach who is getting elevated up the ranks but I think the other scenario is more likely (see Elijah Robinson and his A&M to Syracuse move). At Texas recently, no one followed Stan Drayton or Brennan Marion for example.

Only one I could see leaving is Milwee or Joseph for an OC/DC power 5 job.

Per IT, Texas has a "considerable lead" for WR Marcus Harris of Mater Dei.

He's already friends with a number of Texas players and tells those in his circle that Texas is the favorite.
