I think you are misreading the situation.

Sark is not having 4 and 5 stars hold off on decisions, if they are ready to commit there is no reason to believe he would not take the commitment.

Most of these guys want to take their official visits this summer and decide before their seasons start. Some want to wait until December. It's just the common timeline for the players these days.

Sark and Co also don't get antsy about filling up the class and jump to their plan Bs prematurely. They also continue to evaluate through senior seasons and will go after guys late in the cycle.

As TFloss pointed out, we have hosted 1 official visitor this summer. Our primary targets are not committing elsewhere. There is no reason to worry about recruiting at this junction.
Worry never. But what about he 10 or so silents.Players or coaches keeping it silent.

To me what is common is shopping around for more money. (do not blame them) Extra 50 K bought agreat OL so why not.

As for as primary targets doubt if any one out side staff knows who they are.

If I was a top recruit I would wait, and see what kind of NIL offers come in. If the school I favored wasn't at, or close to the top I would go to that school and explain the situation. I wouldn't think we would get outbid for many players, remember we are the Jones's.

Based on how this staff has recruited thus far, it seems silly to worry about early recruits. I don't see it happening,  but the worst case scenario is we end up with more room for portal shopping.

Nice move to get him in right before he goes to Lubbock for the weekend.

And then you get the last shot at him before the dead period next weekend.

Congrats to Ryner. I liked this kid. It would've been a difficult situation football wise anyway considering he will be gone for 2 years, essentially making him a 2026 recruit.  Still, I would've loved to have this kid.  Like an NBA team drafting someone and stashing them in Europe for a couple of years.

Out side of Watts so for the portal has not worked out real well.

Definitely not encouraged more portal action, but there are a few others who had a fair amount playing time, plus expectations are high for several portal players this year.
