Post your spring training news and tidbits here.

Early word from Bobby is that it appears freshman DB Kade Phillips has really impressed so far. Bobby says he's as impressive as Wingo was last year.

Zelus Hicks and Graceson Littleton have also drawn strong reviews.

Two days into Spring practices and Nick Brooks is already running with the 2nd string OL.

Arch has been a little inconsistent at times, looking average one time and then NFL vet-like another time.

Arch has a lot of high expectations, unfairly so IMHO, on his shoulders this year. Knowing our fan base, in what game are they going to be saying "He needs to be pulled and Owens put in!"?

I think Arch and Wingo have a special connection. I wonder who the next Helm will be?

All of college football and the NFL is going to be watching Arch Manning. Every pass, run, play will be analyzed to death. We saw how this forum responded to QE3's ups and downs....it's taking another massive step up with Manning.

does anyone knowhow Wingo is doing?...He had Lasix surgery ( extremely young for that) Did it work out? Why is nothing being said about it?

I think he had an injury to the eye during the season and also was noted to have blurry vision. My understanding is both of those issues were corrected with the surgery. We probably won't hear much more about it unless Wingo decides to go public with what is his own private medical information.

Notes from OTF

"Unguardable." was the word used to describe Parker Livingstone by someone who watched practice this morning.

Wardell Mack continues to work 1st team STAR with Ryan Niblett also seeing time.

Trey Moore still working at OLB.

Tre Wisner is back to 100%

Manning was flawless today. Recruits loved it.

Campbell and Goosby were mentioned on the OL.

Not good sign to that converted WR is seeing time at star

I don’t view this as a bad sign. A tremendous athlete buried in the wr depth chart. Similar skill set needed to be a db and with at least five db’s on the field all the time there are more opportunities to play. You also don’t need to catch the ball as a db (nice if you can), but I don’t even know if this was even a problem for him

Today's notes from OTF (paraphrased)

– Arch Manning. Completely in control of this offense. Quick release. Accurate. "Pretty impressive."

– Zina Omeozulu is seeing time at DE since Trey Moore has been playing Off ball LB. He's looking sharp.

– Another Omeozulu is making a splash so far, this time it's OG Neto Omeozulu.

– Jelani McDonald's experience from last year has helped him become more comfortable at safety. They think he may be our next break out star.

Ok investigative members . . . Sark missed practice yesterday. Someone noticed and asked Burton about it. Burton acknowledged the absence but declined to go into the why. He did say he knows why.

Anybody got anything?

Read on another site that it had something to do with letting the swim team and women's basketball team have their moment and not infringe on it.
Class move.
