Spring Training 2025

Not sure if it's been posted here, but TE Jordan Washington is out for the rest of spring. OTF's report did not specify what the injury was.

I don't get it. How did missing a practice do anything for anybody here?
I havent seen any explanation for why he missed practice. Mods on IT were also being dodgy about answering.

These guys are referring to the cancelled media availability which was explained by giving shine to swimming and womens hoops. Though, I think that is a convenient excuse for whatever actually happened.

Well Burton said tonight everything was fine with Sark. Didn't elaborate any more than that.

I keep hearing how this kid has learn the position as both inline and flexing out. The coaches feel he might be the best yet inline blocking tight end and is a solid route runner that gives a high point target for the qbs. Him with Washington are probably the 2 TE set 99% of the time unless there is an injury to one.

Tidbits from around

Jordan Washington, Colton Vasek, and CJ Baxter will not return to playing this spring.

Baker is the starter but he and Cojoe are neck and neck for that RT spot. Both getting time with the first team.

Guilbeau has been consistent. Kobe Black currently has a small edge on the rest of the CB position opposite Manny. However, Santana Wilson is right on his heels. Robinson and Phillips are also playing well at that spot.

Spencer Shannon is currently the #1 TE. Newcomer Emarie Winston, Randall and walk-on Ridger Barker are the only others in the TE room right now.

Notes from Bobby. Not listing them all because some weren't really updates.

– Zina Omeazulu is being called the breakout player of Spring. Despite the loaded DE room, he is standing out.

– Christian Clark is challenging Jerrick Gibson for the no. 2 spot at RB. Sark spoke in glowing terms of Clark's rebound this week.

– Warren Robertson, Kade Phillips, Graceson Littleton, McCutcheon, Manning and Owens are having very good Springs.

In case you've missed it, Elk has put on a ton of weight this year.
