*****GAME THREAD: #3 Texas Longhorns @ Arkansas*****

I just find this amusing seriously. So many of you refuse to see what is actually happening. Its like denial is the new fad or maybe more like the consistent fad.

If Ewers is all that then explain to me why is currently ranked 119th overall prospect? He returned and has dropped like a rock.

He hasnt played well. Is he capable? Yes but these are just the facts.

Its so funny there is talk of him returning and most fans are like "I love Ewers but no we dont want him back, if he doesnt go in the draft he needs to transfer." LMAO Thats telling.

Quinn Ewers Dramatic NFL Draft Decline Shown in One Chart

"dropped (Wuinn Ewers) stock like a stone in water He struggled to navigate the pocket and negotiate pressure from the Bulldogs' pass rush. He did not evade rushers, instead standing flat-footed in the pocket. His tendency to settle for underneath routes and checkdowns hurt his offense."

If thats true then Strong the players coach should have won a NC or atleast changed the culture. My point is takes more than loyalty to players to build a culture. There tons of coaches who get canned that were immensely loyal to their players. Cant remember his name but the players threw a fit when the last Iowa State coach got canned. They are more successful now, well somewhat.
What I see especially different from Sark is that he knows exactly the types of players he wants for his program and scheme. Strong and Herman seem to lack any sort of philosophy or weren’t successful in putting that together despite some talent.

We are also benefitting from the transfer portal.

I agree with that. There is a lot more than just player loyalty for the reason for his success. Sark is the right type of coach for success at UT. He can handle the enormous media responsbility, Strong just couldnt. He is creative offensively. He recruits well. There are many reasons for his success and will probably be so for many years to come.

My point is I find player loyalty to be a flaw not a virtue. If his job is to help the team succeed then player loyalty can be counter productive. The coach is responsible for the entire team not one kids ego. Sark isnt dumb, I guarantee he isnt happy with Ewers performance but grits and bears it.

Ewers performance is down. He has the best OL than most QBs and yet is average at best. If he breaks out of it GREAT, we really need that but it doesnt take away from his obvious subpar play since returning from injury.

Call Sark and complain. If he doesn’t make the change, fire him.

Listen sweetheart. Its a sports forum and if I want to post FACTS about Ewers playing like crap I will do it and there is nothing you can do about it. If that gets your panties in a twist then tough shit. Put me on ignore, I dont care. I am not going to let the lynch mob of "How dare you say anything negative about Ewers" dictate the narrative to me.

A bunch of you defended Strong as well. How convenient you all turned coat when he started sucking and got fired. I didn't graduate from the University of Ewers, so deal with it. Facts don't give two shits about your feelings and neither do I.

I heard on a video from Jeff Howe, that Quinn's first quarter numbers in ousux, Georgia, and Vandy are an amazing 9/15 for 30 yards and 3 interceptions. That is like 3 yards per completion. 4th quarter vs Vandy he was 2/7 for 38 yards. Per Horns247 "QE has played himself out of being a 1st round pick, he has not played well and I think everyone can agree on that". Everyone but some of you I guess. I wonder if all those fans and media types are calling Sark demanding changes so get out of here with that garbage. Such a typical non creative response that has been over used. Do Better

I disagree with the last portion of your statement. Player loyalty builds trust with your underclassmen. They know that when it is their time the coach will understand when they mess up.
And before anyone piles on, a player that takes advantage of that thought process shouldn't and probably isn't on this team. #Culture.

I agree with that. I have mentioned before I am sure there is more to it than just a players ego. You have to build trust with recruits and younger players you are not going to yank them after the first signs of trouble. I get that part but its only one part of culture. There is players in buying into the system. Both positive and Negative reinforcement. I have seen Sark get on Manning on the sideline after a series. There is a lot to building culture and a winning program. We have lacked that for a very long time and Sark has brought it back, no doubt.
