Nah, Black has always profiled as a Texas kid.I would be comfortable picking the Longhorns if that is the way it works out. Translation if they offer the most money.

Did Texas have a better option at QB than Manning in '23?On the OOS players vs in state. DKR, Akersand Mack won with them. And still posible today.
Show me a OOSer that has commitedto Horns where there is not a higher or equal in state player. Sure they aregoing out of state somealways have. Show alittlemoreinterest and somemight stayhome in otherwordsmore money.
Year in and year outTexas produces the most H S players. Florida had more one year due to the schools thatrecruit from other states.
The bottom line is winning for a 11-1 season would not care if no Texans were on team. But sofor not even lose to this in winning.
What Texas high school coaches have been our lifeblood. If Sark don't win this year at least ten games( which would be historic) all his connections might cool off and out of state will get tired of good story. Coaches have some impact . I have heard same story for last 13 yrs. As for best being somewhere else besides instate, how bout Harold Perkins,Cade Klubnik,Evan Stewart, etc I think reason Sark don't recruit lot Texas kids is he can't. Example look at high ranked WR that went elsewhere.I think it is time to leave the in state recruiting mindset behind. This coaching staff certainly doesn't approach things that way. They will of course continue to do more locally but ultimately they will push for the players they want most regardless of state.
Not sure what your argument is.On the three RBS yes Texas had higher rated players
- Your first statement could end up being true, but luckily Sark is huge on relationships and didn't burn bridges left and right like Herman did. What Texas high school coaches have been our lifeblood. Bonus note...nobody signed more Top 10, or Top 20, Texas kids last cycle than Sark did.- Your first statement could end up being true, but luckily Sark is huge on relationships and didn't burn bridges left and right like Herman did.
- As for the players you mentioned, Texas went all-out for Perkins and Stewart because they felt those were two of their top targets, but they simply missed. The staff recruited through the whistle on both. And Sark chose to pursue Murphy over Klubnik (i.e. trusting your evaluations), even if that ends up being the wrong move.
- As far as Sark not being able to recruit Texas, I don't know how anyone would come to that conclusion if Sark is signing Top 5, or even Top 10, classes overall. "Brad, you're banging a lot of supermodels, but none of them are blonde. What's up with that?" Point being you're arguing semantics if the roster is stacked and your needs are being met. Every cycle will have a different make-up.
No argument mostly responding to replys to my post. Not sure what your argument is.
Coach Choice has landed 100% of the staff's highest rated RBs, and all came from outside of Texas.
That will likely be the case for '25 too.
We got Bijan out of Arizona when the top back in the country resided in Texas. Bijan by far was the better choice. No argument mostly responding to replys to my post.
As for as RBS I said texas H. schools had higher rated players thanthe OOS RBS. Notfaulting Choices recruits. Texasproduces some of the best RBS ever although some left the statemostly to ou
Why does that matter? That wasn't your point. It was OOS vs in-state. Take the wheels off your goalposts.Bijan was Hermans recruit.
Because post was about this years and this staff's recruiting. Why does that matter? That wasn't your point. It was OOS vs in-state. Take the wheels off your goalposts.
Yeah, 40+ years ago we recruited a back out of Tyler, Texas.Because post was about this years and this staff's recruiting.
DKR recruited Earl who was better than all of them. if you want to include the past.
So it was ok for Herman to recruit OOS, but not Sark?Because post was about this years and this staff's recruiting.
