Last year was much hotter.

We've had 21 days so far of 100 degree heat in DFW the Weather Channel says.

Last year we had 22 days before June was over.

That is just brutal. This week will be our hottest of the season. 107s until Friday where it will be 103 that day. 

As of yesterday, according to the NWS, DFW has had 21 days of 100 degree heat. By comparison with last year, we had 22 days of 100 degree heat by the end of June.

Summer is hot. Always has been.

Yea Earth has always gone through periods or heating and cooling. It was even hotter 250 million years ago with the dinosaurs.  

But just like the 1930s and the Dinosaur age, I wasn't around to compare them to what we just had. I do remember 2011 which is the worst on record.  

Either way, 10 consecutive days of 105+ with some days hitting 108-109 is still brutal.

It doesn't seem so long ago that we were complaining about the brutal cold. Lol   I'm just thankful for a good night's sleep and waking up at daylight...and a good BM in the AM.
