Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

247 hearing Texas would like to start the season on September 12th against UTEP, have a bye week and then start league play on September 26th.

The Big XII is expected to announce soon that league play will start on September 26th.

To my fellow Horns fans:

Remember, If a circus comes to town, you don't have to talk to the clowns.

This thread is Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-recruiting). Let's see if we can get back to that topic.

With that, I became a Longhorn fan when my uncle introduce me to Tommy Nobis and Pete Lammons. Actually there were several others, but those two stood out to me. For a young kid those two guys were like Greek gods to me. LOL. In little league baseball and football I always wore #25 for Chris Gilbert.

Hook 'Em!
Chris Gilbert was my favorite longhorn as a kid and I use to pretend I was him in the backyard. I use to keep track of his carries and yardage during the game.

Texas: Tom Herman said Friday that assistant head coach Stan Drayton and defensive coordinator Chris Ash would lead the team in his absence if he was forced to quarantine, though he would still attend meetings remotely

Myron Warren has just put his name into the transfer portal, per 24/7.

SEC adds Florida and @Tennessee to Aggy's  2020 schedule. Excuse me for the chuckle. lol
I can see them easily at 6-4 with losses @Bama, @Auburn, Florida and one of @MissSt, @Tenn or LSU.  Miss, Ark, Vandy and SC should be wins, but SC could be a tricky one on the road.

They could lose to Miss St and Tenn very easily. Pirate is going to be Saban's nightmare. He did wonders at Tech and WaSt with less talent. At Miss St, he's got a chance to make some noise with good talent.

I'm not sure what LSU is going to be, running out a new QB and all. They lost a lot from last year.

Arkansas completed the toughest schedule in college football by adding Georgia and Florida. Ouch.

Agree on SC. Muschamp always coaches a good game against aggy for some reason.

Could this have a lot to do with Alfred Collins and his rise this year at DE?

Come on S. Turner and make the move.
I doubt it. Collins hasn't had a chance to really do anything yet. He sure looks the part though.
