Former Longhorn Austin Jordan transfers to TCU after entering the transfer portal this spring. Standing at 6’1″ and weighing 200 pounds, Jordan brings size and athleticism to the defensive backfield. While at Texas he accumulated 100 defensive plays, he contributed significantly on special teams with 365 plays and he recorded 11 tackles defensively during his time in Austin.
As a former standout at Denton Ryan, Jordan was a 4-Star prospect, rated as the No. 256 prospect nationally, No. 21 safety, and the No. 41 prospect in Texas by 247Sports. Jordan was rated as the No. 49 safety in the transfer portal according to On3 Industry Rankings.
With two years of eligibility remaining, Jordan has the opportunity to further develop his skills and make a significant contribution to TCU’s football program. Jordan has some experience after playing in the Big 12 at Texas and he should bring some depth to the Horned Frog secondary as he looks to come in and compete for playing time.
