https://www.hornsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/HSRU.jpgAs the old saying goes, “when it rains it pours.”  And today the commitments continue to pour in for the Longhorns.  Buda Hays High School (TX) Offensive Tackle Connor Lanfear joins Keke Coutee and Johnny Shaw as members of the 2015 class of Texas commits.  Lanfear is the third offensive tackle offered in the class, joining Keller’s Maea Teuhema and  Aaron Garza.  Garza became the first commit of the 2015 class and Teuhema committed on May 30th.
Lanfear is 6-6 , 275 lbs. and while the scouting reports on him are fairly limited, in high school Lanfear is about as dominant a right tackle as you could ask for. Â He’s not super fast but he wins just about every battle he engages in. Â He has a tall frame and at 6-6, can easily add more weight, which will be necessary to push around the usual Big 12 defensive linemen.
Offensive Line Coach Stacy Searels is quickly putting together a mammoth class on the offensive line. Â Stay tuned because I don’t think we’re anywhere near done yet.
