The Texas Longhorns (1-2) and the Washington Huskies (3-1) will square off for the second time in two weeks in Thursday’s consolation bracket of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament held at Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas.

 

 

 

Washington got the better of the Longhorns 77-71 in the season opener for both programs on November 13th in Shanghai, China. Senior guard Andrew Andrews led the Huskies with 23 points while Texas’ Isaiah Taylor led all scorers with 27 points in the loss.

 

 

 

Both teams lost on Wednesday in quarterfinal matchups in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. Washington fell to Gonzaga 80-64, and Texas to Texas A&M 84-73.

 

 

 

Andrew Andrews and Dejounte Murray both had double-doubles in the loss to the Bulldogs, each with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

 

 

 

True Freshman Eric Davis led the Longhorns in scoring with 19 points and Cameron Ridley followed up a solid performance from the Texas A&M – Corpus Christi game with 14-points and 5 rebounds in the loss to the Aggies.

 

 

 

The winner of the Washington-Texas game will play the winner of the Michigan vs. Charlotte game on Friday at 6:00 PM CST.
