The 24th ranked Texas Longhorns head into the Big 12 Baseball Tournament as winners of six straight Big 12 series, including a sweep of the Kansas Jayhawks last week in Austin.
As the No. 3 seed in this years tournament, the Longhorns will face No. 10 seeded Texas Tech on Tuesday night at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Should Texas advance they will play the winner of the No. 2 seed Oklahoma State vs. Cincinnatti/UCF winner on Thursday night. The Bearcats and Golden Knights play at 4:00 PM on Tuesday.
Left-handed pitcher Ace Whitehead is expected to start on the mound for the Longhorns against the Red Raiders.
Texas last won the Big 12 Tournament in 2015 and went 0-2 last season losing to Kansas and Kansas State.
