Today the Big 12 Conference released its weekday game schedule for the 2013 football season. Of the 5 games announced, the Longhorns will play in two of them. For those wondering if the Iowa State Game would take place on October 3rd or October 5th…. you can now make your travel plans to Ames. Texas will play the Cyclones on Thursday, October 3rd at Jack Trice Stadium. The Longhorns will also will play Texas Tech at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium on Thanksgiving night (Thursday, November 28th). Both games will be shown on either the ESPN or Fox Sports Network.
The additional conference games announced include:
- North Dakota State @ Kansas State – August 30th
- TCU @ Texas Tech – September 12th
- Oklahoma @ Baylor – November 7th
If you are like me and get tired of seeing Southern Miss or Wyoming play every other Thursday, the slate looks rather appetizing. Texas fans will need to plan on calling in sick for a few days to make the haul up to Ames, but it should be well worth the trip.
