This morning the words “there is a God” could be heard all over the great state of Texas.  No, it’s not Sunday and no there were no church services taking place that we know of .  The excitement and joy came at the hands U-verse, AT&T’s fiber-optic network which can be found in more than 4 million homes nationwide… 4 million homes that NOW carry 24 hours of pure burnt orange television programming.  While the news of the potential agreement between AT&T and ESPN was first rumored several days ago, reality hit home this morning with U-verse customers waking up to the new programming on channels 609 and 1609 (HD).   The timing of the agreement is impeccable as the Texas Longhorns get ready to take on Wyoming on Saturday – a game that can only be seen on the Longhorn Network.

Keep your eyes and ears open for additional providers to pick the channel up.  As the old saying goes… ‘The bigger they are the harder they fall.”
