In case you woke up this morning hungover and/or thought last night was a bad dream, it wasn’t.  Eric Crouch didn’t gouge us for a Heisman worthy rushing performance -Taysom Hill did.  Who?  Yeah Taysom Hill… the dude that wears a knee brace and smeared himself with Crisco before game time.  How else can we explain what we witnessed?

Mack Brown’s post-game comments, or lack thereof, said it all.  The old coach had no explanation for the implosion that occurred last night at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo.  His look of incredulity said enough.  Fans were calling for Mack’s resignation late into the night and BYU – 550

Texas – 132

As a team BYU averaged 7.6 yards per carry and Texas 3.4 yards per carry.

Passing Yards

BYU – 129

Texas – 313

Total Yardage

BYU – 679

Texas – 445

Missed Tackles

I’m still counting.

Other

  • BYU quarterback Taysom Hill rushed 17 times for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns. He averaged 15.2 yards per carry.
  •

  • BYU running back Jamaal Williams carried the ball 30 times for 182 yards.
  •

  • BYU turned the ball over twice, Texas had no turnovers.
  •

  • Texas was 5-17 on 3rd down conversions and 0-3 on 4th down conversions.
  •

Quandre Diggs had this to say about Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz after last night’s defeat in Provo”

“He’s the right guy because we all believe in Coach Diaz.” “We don’t care what y’all say or what anyone else says. We believe in Coach Diaz. He puts us in the right spots to make plays and we don’t make plays. We can’t blame everything on him.”

People are certainly talking and I don’t know too many that believe in coach Diaz today.

And despite Bellmont’s paradigm, Mack’s officially on the hot seat.
