Aug. 31 – New Mexico State Aggies (0-6) OPEN DATE

Line: N/A

Prediction: No where to go but up

The Aggies lost 66-17 to New Mexico last week. That tells you all you need to know.

Sept. 7 – BYU Cougars (3-2) vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Line: BYU -7

Prediction: Georgia Tech 20, BYU 16

If you are into hard hitting bloodbaths, BYU’s D vs the Tech triple option attack is for you. I think Tech is battle tested enough to go on the road and win in Provo.

Sept. 14 – Ole Miss Rebels (3-2) vs Texas A&M Aggies

Line: Texas A&M -6

Prediction: Texas A&M 38, Ole Miss 27

I have no doubt Mississippi can score on the Aggies, but they cant stop Manziel.

Sept. 21 – Kansas State Wildcats (2-3) vs Baylor Bears

Line: Baylor -17.5

Prediction: Baylor 56, Kansas State 30

Having seen both teams extensively, I see no way Kansas State can stop Baylor, especially down its best WR. Should be a four touchdown deficit at the half.

Oct. 3 – Iowa State Cyclones (1-3) @ Texas Tech Red Raiders

Line: Texas Tech -14.5

Prediction: Texas Tech 42, Iowa State 20

There are no moral victories, but ISU should feel pretty good about itself headed to Lubbock. Not sure what Tech does at QB or how it translates on the field, but Kingsbury’s troops are too good to lose this game.

Oct. 12 – Oklahoma Sooners (5-0) vs Texas Longhorns

Line: Oklahoma -14

Prediction: Oklahoma 45, Texas 17

The end of an era? Unless Texas finally puts an entire game together from the opening kick to the final gun, it probably will be.

Oct. 26 – TCU Horned Frogs (2-3) vs Kansas Jayhawks

Line: TCU -24.5

Prediction: TCU 35, Kansas 14

I think the line is a bit too big for TCU under Boykin, but they should win comfortably enough.

Nov. 2 – Kansas Jayhawks (2-2) @ TCU Horned Frogs

Line: TCU -24.5

Prediction: TCU 35, Kansas 14

Could be a bit larger if Charlie lets his punter do something as stupid as last week. #SchematicAdvantage

Nov. 9 – West Virginia Mountaineers (3-3) OPEN DATE

Line: N/A

Prediction: Questions Everywhere in Morgantown

So, if Oliver Luck goes to Texas, is a new AD going to keep Holgorsen?

Nov. 16 – Oklahoma State Cowboys (4-1) OPEN DATE

Line: N/A

Prediction: None

Not sure I’ve ever had more questions about a 4-1 team than this one. Is this a 9 win team or a 6 win team? Right now, I can’t tell.

Nov. 28 – Texas Tech Red Raiders (5-0) vs Iowa State Cyclones

Line: Texas Tech -14.5

Prediction: Texas Tech 42, Iowa State 20

Tech will continue to do Tech things, becoming bowl eligible under Kliff Kingsbury after this win. We will find out just how good the Red Raiders are the next two weeks.

Dec. 7 – Baylor Bears (4-0) OPEN DATE

Line: Baylor -17.5

Prediction: Baylor 56, Kansas State 30

Most folks say we won’t know just what Briles has in Waco until November, but we will get a good look at just how the Texas vs Baylor game could be at the end of the year.

Combined Record of Opponents: 34-25
