Texas remains in the hunt for one of the top running backs in the 2026 class, as Ezavier Crowell has included the Longhorns in his final six schools alongside Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, and Auburn. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound standout from Jackson (Ala.) High School is ranked as the No. 4 player in Alabama and the No. 1 running back in the class per Rivals.com.
Crowell is a powerful, explosive runner who wastes no movement, hitting the hole quickly and running with excellent pad level. He’s also shifty in space, making defenders miss while possessing home-run speed in the open field. A highly productive junior season saw him rack up 1,964 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns, along with 258 receiving yards and two scores.
Texas has been in the mix for Crowell for some time—he worked out at camp with the Longhorns last summer and was on campus for the home game against Georgia last season. He will return to Austin for an unofficial visit on March 27-29 before making his official visit to Texas on June 6-8. With his recruitment heating up, the Longhorns will look to make a strong impression as they battle some of the nation’s top programs for the elite playmaker.
