The Texas baseball team is set to compete in the 26th annual Astros Foundation College Classic, taking place at Daikin Park in Houston from February 27 to March 1. The Longhorns are one of six programs invited to the prestigious three-day, nine-game tournament.
As the reigning Southeastern Conference champions, Texas will face a challenging slate of opponents, including national runner-up Coastal Carolina, historic rival Baylor, and Big Ten powerhouse Ohio State. Rounding out the tournament field are UTSA and Ole Miss.
Texas opens the event with its first-ever matchup against Coastal Carolina at 7:05 p.m. on February 27. The Longhorns then take on Baylor at 7:05 p.m. on February 28—a renewal of a storied rivalry that saw a pause in 2025, marking the first season since World War II the two teams didn’t meet. Texas leads the all-time series 257-114-4, dating back to 1903.
The Longhorns wrap up the weekend against Ohio State at 2:05 p.m. on March 1. Texas holds a 9-1 advantage in the series, with their last meeting occurring in 2004.
This marks Texas’ 12th appearance in the Astros Foundation College Classic and their second in the past three years. The Longhorns carry a 16-17 record in their previous 11 showings at the event.
