Setting The Aggies Straight About A Few Things

So R. Bowen Loftin believes Texas is SEC Country?  Obviously someone was hammering down the fuzzy navel wine coolers today.

Not that I really need to visit this again, but it was Texas A&M that whined, cried, and pleaded to keep the Big 12 together when the Pac-12 came calling for the conferences best schools (and A&M), while secretly having it’s legs spread wide just begging Mike Slive to come on in.

It was Texas A&M who turned down a 50% interest in the now lucrative Longhorn Network.  $15 million a year down the tubes because a group of border collie worshiping morons had too much “pride” to make good business decisions.

 

 

 

This same school, who claims Texas as “SEC” Country had such class and dignity their head coach learned he was fired not by his bosses, not even with a phone call, but by hearing it third hand in a recruits driveway.  They then fired the director responsible for a consistent and progressive development in its overall athletic program.  Really intelligent there.

 

 

 

The “Fighting Texas Aggies” who “rule” the State of Texas have a 37-76-5 record against the school they dream about at night, a school more rich and powerful than they could ever hope to be, a school who considers its chief rival as Oklahoma.  A school that doesn’t have to go around trying to claim a mythical national championship from 1919 to make itself look more impressive. Trust me fellas, the SEC wont care that you claim 1919 with 1939. When Alabama, Florida, and LSU get done with you the only numbers you’ll need are 9-1-1.

 

 

 

In Austin you can visit 6th Street, take a short drive to the Hill Country, shop, see historical sights, and just about anything else you can imagine.  In College Station you can get drunk.  And get drunk. Did I mention drinking? Yeah…its that bad.  I hear they like…have a mall or something.

 

 

 

Texas fans are fired up to play Oklahoma as always and await a war with West Virginia.  Texas A&M fans see their first SEC game in about four months and still care about beating a Texas team that isn’t on their schedule. Ever.  Saw Em Off?  Its just stupid at this point people, almost as ignorant as your now non-relevant fight song.

 

 

 

The SEC as an entire conference has 19 commitments off the Rivals top 100.  Of those 19, Texas A&M has…..drum roll……1.  Texas just by itself has 8 commitments. This is whose country again?

 

 

 

Mr. Loftin….step away from the wine coolers, and in the words of The Rock “Know Your Role, And Shut Your Mouth”.
