The Longhorns are looking at out of state and JUCO players to complete their 2013 recruiting season. According to William Wilkerson of Hornsnation.com, the Longhorns have also shown interest in two defensive linemen from Dodge City (Kan.) Community College, defensive tackle Toby Johnson and defensive end Marcus Hardison, along with the nation’s top 2013 prospect — Loganville (Ga.) Grayson defensive end Robert Nkemdiche

Mack Brown said he would like to have two tight ends and with one, Belton’s Durham Smythe, already in the fold they are looking at Woodland Hills (Calif.) Pierce College product Beau Sandland. Smythe is David Ash’s high school teammate.

If that fails Mack might want to look to the baseball team. The newest recruit for the Horns is a 6’6 tight end..uh..short stop who played his freshman year at Eastern Oklahoma State. You can get the entire skinny on Codey McElroy here https://www.hornsports.com/a-brief-chat-with-newest-longhorn-baseball-commit-codey-mcelroy. Good Job Commander Dude.

Somebody finally said no! DeSoto RB Dontre Wilson became the first high school player, offered a scholarship, to say “no” when he announced he would sign with Oregon. Texas had offered 23 players for the 2013 class and 14 had accepted, with the rest considering. I guess UT will have to “settle” for Malcolm Brown and Jonathan Gray, the two highest rated RB’s in 2012 and 2013 or maybe Wilson just opened his eyes to the reality of the situation.

A question… What are your thoughts on running back DJ Monroe moving to wide receiver? I think this may be a home run for DJ, where he can display his 10.3 speed. He has been a player between positions in his three years in Austin, so I hope his senior year is a break out one for him and UT.

: Frank, this is a safe place. A place where we can feel free sharing our feelings. Think of my office as a nest in a tree of trust and understanding. We can say anything here.

Frank

: Anything? Well, uh I guess I, deep down, am feeling a little confused. I mean, suddenly, you get married, and you’re supposed to be this entirely different guy. I don’t feel different. I mean, take yesterday for example. We were out at the Olive Garden for dinner, which was lovely. And, uh, I happen to look over at a certain point during the meal and see a waitress taking an order, and I found myself wondering what color her underpants might be. Her panties. Uh, odds are they are probably basic white, cotton, underpants. But I sort of think, well, maybe they’re silk panties, maybe it’s a thong. Maybe it’s something really cool that I don’t even know about. You know, and uh, and I started feeling… what? What, I thought we were in the trust tree in the nest, were we not?

When it was said SEC expanded its footprint into Texas by adding A&M, Dodds said, “They have a sliver down the East side” of Texas.

This didn’t sit well with Barrett Sallee, the lead SEC blogger for Bleacher Report.  Sallee writes, “Dodds statements may show more than additionally appeared.”

“The fact that Dodds would go out of his way to put A&M down, especially when the two schools aren’t scheduled to play on the gridiron (for now), says that he feels threatened and is looking to find any way to keep the Aggies down,” Sallee said. “That’s even more critical for Dodds now that Texas A&M is no longer under his thumb as the de facto ruler of the Big 12.”

Not satisfied with that bit of delusion he went on to write , when he lost a tooth, he put it under his pillow and in the morning money appeared. Someone should tell Barrett that the SEC has been in Texas for years and additionally  there is no tooth fairy.

Texas volleyball team signs nation’s 2nd-best recruiting class that includes nation’s top prospect, three Top-10 recruits. A year after missing the final four for the first time in four years the Longhorns bring in three of the top ten recruits in the country..  No. 1 — 6-foot-3 Klein Collins middle blocker Molly McCage. The other two were Parker Chaparral (Colo.) outside hitter/setter Nicole Dalton (No. 6) and Rio Rancho Cleveland (NM) middle blocker Sara Hattis. Hook em Gals!

Frank

: A little housewarming gift.

Mitch

: I actually gave this to you for your wedding.

Frank

: This model?

Mitch

: That exact one.

‘Till next Saturday and another addition of SWUB , I ask you all to have a great week and to HOOK ‘EM HORNS!
