The Texas Longhorns will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the first Southeastern Conference-edition of the Red River Rivalry on Saturday, October 12th. Kickoff time for the much-anticipated game was announced on Thursday, with the ‘Horns and Sooners set to square off at 2:30 p.m. with the game being televised on ABC or ESPN. The game will mark the first 2:30 p.m. or later contest between the two programs since 2017. In fact, 12 of the last 13 Red River Rivalry games have taken place at 11:00 a.m.
The Longhorns also learned the kickoff time for their Week 3 home game against UTSA on Saturday, September 14. Texas will host the Roadrunners for the second-ever matchup between the two schools at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium with kickoff time set for 6:00 p.m with the game being televised on ESPN.
The Longhorns are 1-0 all-time against UTSA and hold an all-time series lead over the Sooners 63-51-5.
