The Texas Longhorns advanced to the College Football Playoff Semifinals for the second consecutive season following their 39-31 double overtime win against the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. The ‘Horns made history with the victory, becoming the first program in history to win all New Year’s Six bowl games.

After jumping out to a 17-3 lead, Texas looked to be in control of the game. The Longhorns led 24-8 with 10:00 left in the game but the Sun Devils scored two touchdowns and two 2-point conversions to even things out. It was a wild finish with the Longhorns winning in overtime, thanks to Andrew Mukuba’s interception of Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt.
