You really don’t understand how scary Patrick Vahe is until you catch him post game after a big win. At that point he hasn’t burned off the adrenaline from the game and still seems like he’s ready to go another quarter. We caught up with the massive Trinity lineman following their 49-31 win over Plano West. “To be honest I was sick, I had really bad congestion in my chest and in my head. I never give up on my brothers, I just play with them no matter what happens”.

Vahe was dominant the entire game often lining up on whatever side Trinity wanted to run to. Trinity racked up 396 yards rushing and only had to put the ball in the air four times. Trinity is known for their punishing brand of power football and Vahe thinks that will match up very well with what the Longhorns want to do, “Physical, I like to play a physical game so when I get to Texas if they want to play a physical game I’m back at home”.

Vahe starts at tackle for the Trojans but projects to be an inside player at the next level standing 6’3 299 lbs. Thoughts are that Joe Wickline might want him at guard or center, but Vahe is ready to contribute wherever he’s needed. “Wherever he needs me” Vahe said when asked where he might play at the next level. He continued, “I’m just a man that’s here to help out the program”.

While recently he’s taken visits to other schools Vahe remains solid to the Longhorns. While walking off the field he smiled easily and threw up the “Hook ‘Em” to many in the crowd. When asked what he had to say to Longhorn fans, Vahe replied, “I’ll be home soon”.
