After a considerably slow start adding priority players from the transfer portal, the Texas Longhorns picked up their highest ranked transfer player today with the addition of former Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman.
Coleman is the top wide receiver and the No. 4 overall player in the transfer portal.
The 6-3, 201 lb. native of Phenix City, Alabama, spent two seasons at Auburn and racked up 1,306 receiving yards on 93 catches for 13 touchdowns. He was a consensus 5-star recruit out of Central Fenix City High School.
His commitment to Texas is significant because he fills an immediate starting role and has tremendous playmaking abilities. The Longhorns lost former receivers DeAndre Moore, Parker Livingstone and Jaime Ffrench to the portal.
Coleman was courted by Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Alabama down the stretch with Texas winning a huge recruiting battle for his services. He represents the eleventh player secured from the transfer portal by Texas.
