Following their 52-0 season-opening win over the Colorado State Rams on Saturday, the Texas Longhorns (1-0, 0-0) moved up to No. 3 in latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll. Previously ranked fourth, the Longhorns were beneficiaries of an Oregon team that defeated Idaho State 24-14 but struggled in doing so.
Georgia held on to the No 1. spot after handling Clemson 34-3 and Ohio State maintained its No. 2 ranking following its 52-6 throttling of Akron. Alabama rose one spot to No. 4 while Notre Dame jumped two spots thanks to defeating a ranked Texas A&M team in College Station.
Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Missouri and Michigan round out the Top 10.
Texas will next face Michigan in a Top-10 matchup this Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor at 11:00 am on Saturday.
