The 63-21 Sooner beatdown of the ‘Horns, believe it or not, was actually the bright spot for Texas from a post-mortem perspective. The David Ash injury, the Brandon Moore injury, the Donald Hawkins injury, and now the Jackson Jeffcoat injury…. Kenny Boyd, the team’s head trainer has been a busy, busy man lately and that is not good news for the Texas Longhorns. With half the season remaining the Longhorns are fighting a significant battle with the injury bug. The University today released a statement about the extent of Jeffcoat’s injury and it is not positive news. Jeffcoat will miss the remainder of the season as he elects to undergo surgery to repair a right pectoral muscle that was damaged during the Oklahoma game. The loss of Jeffcoat on the end is devastating to say the least, as the Longhorns currently rank 99th in total defense out of 120 FBS teams.
