Three takeaways:

1. Signs of confidence were everywhere in the first half â€“ the hit by Thompson, the jukes by Gray, the pick by Diggs â€“ the whole team played faster than they have in two years. This is the 4^th quarter of the OU game, but in a first half.

2. For all the rhythm and confidence on offense in the first half, the second half was the complete opposite. No structure to the playcalling and it also didnâ€™t protect the lead. Most will blame Swoopes, but the OL and WRâ€™s contributed as much as he did.

3. With the number and quality of recruits at the game, I donâ€™t think it could have been scripted any betterâ€¦.a first half where the Horns look like a traditional power, and a second half where they look like they need players in spots.
